The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary Scarlet & Brilliance Gala that took place at the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove. At this grand celebration, the Honorable Mayor of Miami- Dade County, Carlos Gimenez, was honored with the Golden Eagle award in Leadership and the Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Alberto Carvalho, was honored with the Golden Eagle Award in Education. Celebrity Sammy Sosa, MLB Legend attended the reception together with other dignitaries including the Mayor of the City of Doral, JC Bermudez. The chamber received proclamations from MiamiDade County Mayor Gimenez and the City of Doral Mayor JC Bermúdez declaring May 11 South Florida Hispanic Chamber Day. The SFLHCC was founded 25 years ago and is one of the largest and most respected chambers of commerce of the United States.
