Hialeah Hospital y la ciudad de Hialeah se asociaron hoy 3 de febrero para caminar por el día nacional de vestir de rojo. Esto fue para crear conciencia a las mujeres por la enfermedad cardíaca. Empleados del Hospital Hialeah, y  funcionarios del gobierno de Hialeah caminaron alrededor de la manzana y vestidos de rojo para crear conciencia.

Hialeah Hospital and the City of Hialeah partnered together today February 3 to walk for National Wear Red Day. This was to create awareness for Women and Heart Disease.

As 2016 comes to a close, Hialeah Hospital looks back at some of its top achievements and advancements. The hospital is dedicated to providing the community with high-quality care, as demonstrated by its many prestigious recognitions. Highlights from this year include: Heart Failure & Stroke Quality Achievement Awards The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association honored Hialeah Hospital with the Get With The Guidelines®- Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll. The awards recognize the hospital’s commitment to meeting nationally recognized, research-based quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure and stroke patients. National Accreditation for Bariatric Program This year, local patients with severe obesity got the option to receive surgical treatment at a nationally accredited bariatric program. Hialeah Hospital’s Center for Weight Loss Surgery was designated by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center for meeting the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. To earn the MBSAQIP accreditation, Hialeah Hospital’s program met essential criteria for staffing, training and facility infrastructure and care protocols, ensuring its ability to support patients with severe obesity. Top Safety Score Safety is always a top priority at Hialeah Hospital, as evidenced by its second consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group, one of the nation’s leading patient safety advocacy organizations that provides healthcare information to consumers. Bi-annually, The Leapfrog Group assigns “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” scores to U.S. hospitals based on their performance in keeping patients safe from preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections.Miami-Dade Stroke Consortium Participation Hialeah Hospital’s dedication to stroke care extends beyond the walls of its Primary Stroke Center and into the communities it serves. The hospital was recognized for its participation in the Miami-Dade Stroke Consortium (MDSC), a nonprofit organization established to improve stroke care and collect data on the estimated 4,000 strokes that occur each year in the county. The hospital was awarded for its dedication to improving stroke care and outcomes in Miami-Dade County by the MDSC, an affiliate of Neuroscience Centers of Florida Foundation. Heart Health Awareness As part of Hialeah Hospital’s ongoing commitment to strengthen heart health in the community, the hospital celebrated Heart Month in February. The hospital offered free screenings and educational information from various departments. In addition, Dr. Werner Andrade, medical director of The Center for Weight Loss Surgery, participated in a physician panel discussing weight loss and heart disease.
