Dr. Andrew M. Lerman, neurologist, achieves top recognition from Coral Gables Hospital as its 2018 Physician of the Year. Dr. Lerman exemplifies Coral Gables mission statement, which is to provide healthier, happier lives, as well as making sure he achieves excellence in customer service. Dr. Lerman was nominated and selected by the hospital employees for this year’s award. “Dr. Lerman is known for delivering high quality care to our patients, and we are proud to have him as part of the Coral Gables family,” Cristina Jimenez, CEO of Coral Gables Hospital.

He received his medical degree from St. Matthews University School of Medicine, Grand Cayman. Dr. Lerman has been involved in numerous research studies. The research that he worked on particularly focused on data collection and interpretation in ongoing clinical studies using mesenchymal stem cells in damaged myocardial cell population.
