The vibrant city of Hialeah was buzzing with excitement on June 16 as Commissioner Eileen Higgins (District 5) and Senator Rene Garcia (District 13) hosted with EL VOCERO NEWS the 2023 Domino Tournament at the Milander Center. Domino enthusiasts from every corner of Miami-Dade County flocked to witness the thrilling clash of tiles, where District 5 once again emerged as the undefeated champions! Joining Commissioner Higgins and Senator Garcia were their Board Colleagues, Chairman Oliver Gilbert (District 1) and Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins (District 8) also Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera,(District 6) and Commissioner Micky Steinberg (District 4).The colleagues even sat down for a game of dominoes amongst themselves.
Commissioner Eileen Higgins, the driving force behind this thrilling event, expressed joy at witnessing District 5’s unstoppable triumph. «It’s an absolute thrill to see our district shine once again in the world of dominoes,» Commissioner Higgins said. «The passion and camaraderie displayed by our community during this tournament truly exemplify the spirit of Miami-Dade, and we hope to host it annually for many years to come!»

Torneo de dominó entre distritos del condado de Miami-Dade
La vibrante ciudad de Hialeah vibraba de emoción el 16 de junio cuando la Comisionada Eileen Higgins (Distrito 5) y el Senador René García (Distrito 13) organizaron junto con EL VOCERO NEWS el Torneo de Dominó 2023 en el Milander Center. Entusiastas del dominó de todos los rincones del condado de Miami-Dade acudieron en masa para presenciar el emocionante choque de fichas, en el que el Distrito 5 se alzó una vez más como campeón invicto. Junto a la Comisionada Higgins y el Senador García estuvieron sus colegas de la Junta, el presidente Oliver Gilbert (Distrito 1) y la Comisionada Danielle Cohen Higgins (Distrito 8) y el Comisionado Kevin Marino Cabrera, (Distrito 6) y la Comisionada Micky Stinberg (Distrito 4) . Los colegas incluso se sentaron a jugar una partida de dominó entre ellos.
