El senador estatal de Florida Joe Gruters, presidente del Comité de Educación de Florida y presidente del Partido Republicano de Florida, visitó y recorrió el campus de uso mixto de estilo universitario de COHEA en febrero. Durante su recorrido, pudo ver las nuevas «Aulas del futuro». La tecnología nueva de cámaras y monitores conectan a los estudiantes y maestros en el aula con los estudiantes que aprenden de forma remota. También fue testigo de las academias de la escuela secundaria y preparatoria en acción: Bomberos, Justicia Penal, Comunicaciones Masivas, Enfermería y Ley.

Senators Visit Career-Oriented School in Hialeah
Florida State Senator Joe Gruters, Chairman of the Florida Committee of Education and Florida GOP Chair, visited and toured COHEA, a college-style, mixed-use campus. During his tour, he was able to experience firsthand the “Classrooms of the Future,” where state-of-the-art technology, cameras and monitors connect students and teachers in the classroom to students learning remotely. He also witnessed their unique academies in action – Fire, Criminal Justice, Mass Communications, Nursing and Law.
COHEA Career and Collegiate Academy offers a cutting-edge, 6-12th grade seamless college preparatory and STEM influenced curriculum with an emphasis on emergency response, health, and law enforcement careers. Located on a college-style campus, the school features a technology-rich environment where highly-qualified, certified instructors prepare students for employment within a multilingual work environment.
