Russia and China unite their political influences and military forces in an endless quest to control the world. These evil empires are the “godfathers” to many human rights violations and guilty of genocide against humanity. While donning black suits and sipping champagne, the godfathers mimic birds of prey casting their oppressive claws for world domination. In the last two weeks, we have seen the Russian bear cower in front of a coalition of free countries that oppose Russia’s godfather-like cruelty against Ukraine. The free world has been steadfast against Putin, threatening to cancel Moscow’s most vital financial or most financially lucrative resource- the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Project. Perhaps then, this pipeline could be the West’ best diplomatic option to prevent a Russian invasion of Ukraine and the needless genocide of its people.
The United States has placed an essential part of our military on alert. Having personally had the honor of serving in these same units as an Army Officer, these units include the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Fort Carson, Colorado; the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and the proud 2nd Cavalry Regiment at Vilseck, Germany. In this way, the U.S. Army places more than 8,500 soldiers, with incredible lethal force, just a few hours away from, what could be, the beginning of World War III.
And it could be that, with a few bad decisions by those in charge of diplomacy, we could face war in at least three regions of the world. Putin continues to strengthen ties of malign solidarity with China, including attending the official winter Olympics ceremony to update his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on his latest Russian geostrategic antics. Putin will continue to guarantee Russian oil to China, perhaps at preferential prices, to secure Russia’s backing by China.
China means much more than a regional Asian force-China also holds veto power in the United Nations. The Chinese veto power in the United Nations is very convenient when discussing invasions and military alliances. This Russian-China alliance creates a line of defense to deter the United States and our allies from entering any war that could wipe out the totalitarian Russian and Chinese regimes. Therefore, it is an alliance to survive a moment of existential crisis for Russia and China politically. But a perilous alliance nonetheless!
A few days ago, the Chinese Premier, surrounded by red flags, threatened to invade Taiwan, and start a war with the United States. China sees an opportunity to exert its political-military muscle and finally seize Taiwan, a “rebel province” in China’s eyes. For this reason, Premier Xi sent 34 fighter jets, one bomber aircraft, and four aircraft with technological warfare capabilities violating Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). But with geostrategy, nothing happens by chance. China knows the Pentagon assigned our best ground units to stand up to Russia on the European war front. So, China will now try to take advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and create an Asian war front. China’s objective is to unite Taiwan with the mainland, especially when it doesn’t have to worry about facing the elite units of the U.S. military. Geostrategy dictates that each county act according to its best interests.
As if everything isn’t complicated enough, the evil empires have recruited yet another regime repudiated by the international community. Let Iran enter this cursed alliance!
Iranians welcome this new world apportionment because they continually conspire with both Russia and China in their respective world domination quest. The Iranian alliance creates a third war front in the Arab world, threatening Central Asia with nuclear ballistic missiles. Here we see a very similar scenario to what happened during World War II- Nazi Germany fought in Europe; Italy in the Middle East and North Africa; and Japan in Asia and the Pacific. Today we can replace Germany, Italy, and Japan with Russia, Iran, and China, to create the perfect recipe for a third world war. This new world appointment makes a delicate situation for the White House, our allies and our interests throughout the entire world. The reality is that Iran, however strategically necessary for Russia and China, is the Achilles’ heel of this global geostrategy. Most recently, the Sheikh of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, delivered a message to President Biden from the Ayatollahs as part of their negotiation on the survival of the theocratic and totalitarian Iranian regime. Tehran realizes that in the global geostrategic scheme it cannot count on infinite help from either Russia or China because both empires would be engaged in their own war fronts. Iran would face a Saudi Arabia armed with state-of-the-art U.S. weapons and technology; and heavy international sanctions causing a major Iranian economic crisis that would undoubtedly befall the ayatollahs. However, it is still suitable for Iran to play strong and try to obtain concessions from Russia and China, while gaining whatever they can out of the United States. As the great philosopher Sun Tzu said in his book, The Art of War, «all warfare is based on deception.»
But before my military academy lessons on Sun Tzu, I first learned a very simple American saying: “you and what army, pal?” Perhaps Russia wants to impose its iron grip on Europe and create an all new 21st century Russian empire). Undoubtedly, Putin dreams of becoming “Putin the Great” and gaining Russia’s access to all the world’s oceans and lands. But the Putin of today, “Putin the Little One” does not have the geostrategic advantage to checkmate the United States and our allies. Additionally, Putin the Little One depends on U.S. dollars to continue buying loyalties within the Kremlin, without which he could very well end up like many predecessor tsars before him: with his head separated from his body! In China, Premier Xi’s emperor cravings are limited to an economy increasingly dependent on its exports, making war a terrible commodity for Chinese business. War costs money especially against a more technologically advanced enemy. Although the US Army’ current assignment is to confront Russia, the U.S. Navy can equally confront China, as it did against Japan during World War II. Totalitarian regimes survive because dictators are only interested in living their own best lives. For example, the ayatollahs are religious dictators, yet they know that no Iranian missile can destroy their long standing enemies in the Middle East. Israel, with its highly sophisticated missiles could make any purported powerful ayatollah disappear and send them on their way to the Muslim paradise with seven virgins they profess. So, while Sun Tzu philosophically explains warfare, I ask these evil empires in a good ‘ol American way…“You and what army pal?”
Los Imperios del Mal unen fuerzas contra la humanidad.
Rusia y China están uniendo sus influencias políticas y fuerzas militares en un afán interminable por controlar al mundo. Estos Imperios del Mal, padrinos de todas las violaciones a los derechos humanos y culpables de genocidios contra la humanidad, toman champagne y se visten de trajes negros luciendo como aves de rapiña listas para lanzar sus garras opresoras y alcanzar el poder absoluto. En las últimas dos semanas hemos visto al oso ruso acobardarse frente a una coalición de países libres que se oponen al ensañamiento ruso contra Ucrania. El mundo libre ha sido muy claro con Putin, amenazando con cancelar el proyecto oleoducto Nord Stream 2, una fuente vital financiera para Moscú que pudiera ser la mejor carta diplomática para evitar una invasión rusa a Ucrania y otro genocidio contra los ucranianos.
Estados Unidos ha puesto en alerta a una parte importante de nuestro ejército, algunas de estas divisiones las conozco muy bien pues tuve el honor de haber servido en ellas como oficial del ejército. Estas unidades incluyen a la 4ta División de Infantería Mecanizada en el Fuerte Carson, Colorado; la 101 División de Asalto Aéreo en el Fuerte Campbell, Kentucky, y el orgulloso 2do Regimiento de Caballería Mecanizada en Vilseck, Alemania. De esta manera se ponen a más de 8,500 soldados, con una fuerza letal increíble, a solo unas horas de distancia de lo que pudiera ser el principio de la Tercera Guerra Mundial.
Y es que, con unas pocas malas decisiones, pudiéramos enfrentarnos a varios frentes de combate en tres regiones del mundo. Putin sigue estrechando lazos de solidaridad maligna con China, incluso atendiendo la ceremonia oficial de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno y tomando esta oportunidad para actualizar a su homólogo chino Xi Jinping sobre las últimas travesuras geoestratégicas rusas. Putin seguirá garantizando petróleo ruso a China, quizás a precios preferenciales, para asegurar el respaldo chino a favor de Rusia. Y es que China significa mucho más que una fuerza regional en Asia, pues también tiene el derecho al veto en las Naciones Unidas, y esto es algo muy conveniente cuando hablamos de invasiones y alianzas militares. Esta alianza rusa-china crea una línea de defensa con el propósito de disuadir a los Estados Unidos y nuestros aliados de entrar en algún conflicto bélico que pudiera acabar con los regímenes totalitarios ruso y chino. Por tanto, es una alianza para sobrevivir políticamente un momento de crisis existencial para Rusia y China. ¡Pero sigue siendo una alianza muy peligrosa!
Hace apenas unos días atrás el Premier Chino, rodeado de banderas rojas basadas en la antigua Unión Soviética, amenazaba con invadir a Taiwán y empezar una guerra con los Estados Unidos. China ve una oportunidad de ejercer un músculo político-militar y apoderarse, finalmente, de Taiwán a la que considera ser una «provincia rebelde». Es por esta razón que el Premier Xi decidió enviar 34 aviones cazas, un avión bombardero, y cuatro aviones con capacidades de guerra tecnológica violando la zona de identificación de defensa aérea de Taiwán. Es que en geoestrategia nada pasa por casualidad. China se da cuenta que las mejores unidades del ejército norteamericano están destinadas a hacerle frente a Rusia en lo que sería el frente de guerra europeo, así que sería una oportunidad estupenda para China crear un frente de guerra asiático y sacar ventaja de este conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania, especialmente cuando no tiene que preocuparse por enfrentarse a las unidades élites del ejército norteamericano. En geoestrategia cada país actúa según sus mejores intereses.
Y como si todo pareciera lo suficientemente complicado, los Imperios del Mal han reclutado a otro régimen repudiado por la comunidad internacional. ¡Que entre Irán a esta alianza maldita! La verdad es que los Iranies no podían perderse esta repartición del mundo pues, a un final, conspiran constantemente con los rusos y los chinos. Así se crea un tercer frente de guerra en el mundo árabe con repercusiones para Asia Central con amenazas de misiles balísticos nucleares. Aquí vemos un paralelo muy similar a lo que sucedió durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial: Alemania Nazi peleaba en Europa; Italia en el Medio Oriente y el norte de África; y Japón en Asia y el Pacifico. Hoy en día podemos substituir Alemania, Italia y Japón por Rusia, Irán, y China y tenemos la receta perfecta para una Tercera Guerra Mundial. Aunque esto significaría una situación delicada para la Casa Blanca y nuestros aliados, la realidad es que Irán, por muy estratégicamente necesaria que sea para Rusia y China, es el Talón de Aquiles de esta geoestrategia global. Hace apenas unos días atrás el Jeque de Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, le entregaba un mensaje al presidente Biden de parte de los Ayatolas como parte de esta negociación sobre la supervivencia del régimen teocrático y totalitario iraní. Y es que Teherán se da cuenta que, en esta geoestrategia global, en realidad no puede contar con una ayuda infinita por parte de Rusia ni de China pues ambos imperios estarían enfrascados en sus propios frentes de guerra. Por tanto, Irán se vería opuesto a una Arabia Saudita con material bélico de Estados Unidos y enfrentando una crisis económica y financiera producto de las sanciones que, sin lugar a duda, caerían sobre los ayatolas. De todas maneras, por ahora, le viene bien a Irán hacerse el fuerte y tratar de sacar concesiones por parte de Rusia y China, y tratar de sacar lo que pueda también de Estados Unidos. Bien lo dijo el gran filósofo Sun Tzu en su libro El Arte de la Guerra, «toda guerra se basa en el engaño».
Pero antes de aprender de Sun Tzu en la academia militar del ejército norteamericano, aprendí un refrán muy cubano que dice «¿con que se sienta la cucaracha?» Quizás Rusia quiera imponer su mano de hierro sobre Europa y crear un nuevo imperio ruso al estilo del siglo 21. Estoy seguro de que Putin sueña con convertirse en Putin el Grande y lograr el acceso de Rusia a todos los océanos del mundo. Pero el Putin de ahora, el Putin Chiquito, no tiene la ventaja geoestratégica para poner en jaque mate a los Estados Unidos y nuestros aliados. Además, Putin el Chiquito, depende de los dólares americanos para seguir comprando lealtades dentro del Kremlin; de lo contrario, pudiera terminar como muchos zares rusos antes que él: con su cabeza separada de su cuerpo. En China, las ansias de emperador del Premier Xi se ven limitadas a una economía cada día más dependiente de sus exportaciones, por tanto, una guerra sería muy mala para los negocios chinos. Todos sabemos que una guerra cuesta mucho dinero, especialmente contra un enemigo mucho más avanzado tecnológicamente. Aunque el ejército de tierra de los Estados Unidos este destinado a enfrentar a Rusia, la Marina de Guerra norteamericana está disponible para hacerle frente a China, de la misma manera que le hizo frente a Japón durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Todos sabemos que los regímenes totalitarios solo buscan su propia sobrevivencia, pues a los dictadores solo les interesa vivir lo mejor que puedan. Los ayatolas son dictadores religiosos, y saben que ningún misil iraní puede destruir sus enemigos tradicionales en el Medio Oriente, y me refiero específicamente a Israel, el cual tiene misiles altamente sofisticados que pudieran hacer desaparecer a los ayatolas y enviarlos a ese paraíso musulmán con siete vírgenes que tanto profesan. Mientras que Sun Tzu lo explica de una manera filosófica, yo me lo pregunto a lo cubano, ¿con que se sienta la cucaracha?
