On Sunday, September 25, The Town of Miami Lakes hosted their very first Ms Senior Miami Lakes Pageant. The event was a success, and a fun time was had by everyone in attendance. Congratulations to the wonderful contestants who showcased their talents like singing, dancing and poetry! This event would not have been possible without Dorothy Wix and the Town of Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee, they hosted a great event and luncheon. Special thank you to Pedro Fiallo who assisted in curating the sponsors for the event: Miami Lakes Auto Mall, Catholic Hospice, Chen Senior Medical Center, and CarePlus Health Plans. Lastly, thank you to Tico Casamayor of AC Graphics for his continued help and for photographing the event. Guests had a great time watching the contestants show off their talents and even had some fun dancing in the ballroom. Following its success, it seems that this will become an annual event! It truly was amazing to see the town come together for such a special event. Once again, congratulations to the new “Ms Senior Miami Lakes” and all the contestants who participated!
