Recognized as a cornerstone for Greater Miami, the program offers discounts to the destination’s premier dining hotspots and emerging local favorites from August 1 through September 31

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) today announces the return of the highly anticipated Miami Spice Restaurant Months program. This year’s program, sponsored by Whole Foods Market and Woodford Reserve, runs from August 1 to September 31. Now in its 20th year, the Miami Spice showcases the very best of Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s diverse cuisine and invites locals and visitors to enjoy reasonably priced fare across local favorites and hidden gems. For more information and to explore specific menus, please visit MiamiTemptations.com.

With more than 150 participating restaurants spanning each neighborhood across Greater Miami, there are endless opportunities to explore the vibrant destination through food. Whether searching for sushi in South Beach, authentic Italian in Coconut Grove, retro Cuban in Little Havana, comforting pho in the Upper East Side, southern comfort in Historic Overtown or tapas in Doral, there is something for everyone.

Miami Spice has become a long-standing tradition, with many of the restaurant partners participating year-over-year. Some have been with the program a majority of the 20-year tenure including Byblos Miami, Hakkasan Miami Beach, Il Mulino Sunny Isles Beach, Strada in the Grove and Fontana at the Biltmore in Coral Gables. Equally as important, and an example of the growth of Greater Miami’s culinary scene, are the new additions to the Miami Spice roster. This year, the GMCVB welcomes Wayku, CHICA, La Giuletta, Café Americano South Beach, Strawberry Moon, Maia House, MAYAMI Mexicantina, Paperfish Sushi, Red Rooster and Café La Trova, among others.

“20 years ago, the GMCVB launched Miami Spice to help spur tourism during the summer months and over the years, it has blossomed – alongside Greater Miami and Miami Beach – into a staple for the community,” said William D. Talbert III, C.D.M.E., President and CEO of the GMCVB. “With Miami now a full-fledged foodie destination, the GMCVB remains committed to supporting the culinary industry and helping to remind residents or those stopping by that there’s much to see, explore and indulge in.”

During Miami Spice, restaurants offer three-course prix-fixe menus at reduced prices of $28 per person for lunch and brunch and $42 per person for dinner. This year as a result of direct feedback from restaurateurs, pricing was increased slightly to help offset rising costs of ingredients and operations.

For the ultimate culinary-driven vacation or staycation, locals and visitors can take advantage of Miami Spice in tandem with Miami Hotel Months. Miami Hotel Months launched June 1 and runs through September 31, offering discounts and perks at hotels and resorts across Greater Miami. Restaurants located at hotels offering promotions include Atlantikós at The St. Regis Bal Harbour, Bourbon Steak at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, Byblos at the Royal Palm South Beach, Fi’lia at SLS Brickell, Komodo and Swan.
