Durante el evento, se le presentó a la presidenta de la cámara de Comercio, Liliam M López, con el honor más grande que otorga el gobernador del estado de Kentucky haciéndola Colonel de Kentucky reconociendo su gran labor comunitaria por más de 25 años. Durante el evento hubo un panel moderado por el gran periodista Louis Aguirre del canal 10. También se presentaron premios anuales a compañías que protegen nuestro medio ambiente. South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated its annual Sustainability lunch, “A Green Planet Without Waste” During the course of the lunch, chamber president, Liliam Lopez, was presented with the highest honor bestowed by the governor of the state of Kentucky making her a Kentucky Colonel. After this presentation, and during the lunch, there was a panel discussion moderated by Emmy award winning anchor, Louis Aguirre. The event concluded with the annual awards to companies that take care of the environment and stand out for their work in that field.
