West Miami Mayor Eric Diaz-Padron delivered his second State of the City Address to hundreds of residents and local elected officials. In his address, Mayor Diaz-Padron highlighted significant strides made in public safety, economic growth, infrastructure development and community engagement. The mayor also announced exciting new projects and initiatives aimed at further enhancing the quality of life for all West Miami residents.

“West Miami continues to be a city of progress—a city that prioritizes lower taxes, better parks, and a city that cares for its seniors” said Mayor Eric Diaz-Padron. “We’re not just investing in infrastructure, but in the future of West Miami.”

Among these investments are the final phases of drainage projects, the completion of a new multigenerational recreation center, and an increase in green spaces that will be achieved through joint use agreements and development of existing city owned land. Mayor Diaz-Padron stressed the importance of protecting taxpayer dollars and proudly announced a combined ten million dollars of grant money for the projects from federal, state and local grant programs.

“West Miami has always been a safe place to live,” said Mayor Diaz-Padron. “However, I am proud to announce that for the third consecutive year the crime rate in our city has dropped double digits.”

As West Miami continues to grow, the city remains committed to building a stronger and safer community for all of its residents.

The City of West Miami extends its gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the success of the event.
