“The Miami Lakes Bar Association (MLBA) recently hosted its inspiring Installation Gala, a night of celebration, leadership, and giving back to our community. The event marked the installation of Stephanie A. Cruz as the new MLBA President, along with the swearing-in of its dedicated board members. Congratulations to all as they embark on a new chapter of service and advocacy!
A highlight of the evening was the grand scholarship presentation, made even more special by the incredible generosity of Ray and Yaimet Palacios from First Origin Mortgage Lenders. Their unexpected donation of two $1,000 scholarships was a heartwarming surprise, adding to the MLBA’s own scholarship initiative. In total, three outstanding high school students—Chris, Sa’Niyah, and Ana Carolina—were awarded scholarships, supporting their bright futures.
The scholarship recipients were formally honored at Miami Lakes Town Hall, where they received their checks in recognition of their achievements. This initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of both the Miami Lakes Bar Association and First Origin Mortgage Lenders to empowering the next generation through education.
