On Wednesday, February 8, the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce held its monthly luncheon at the Miami Lakes Hotel & Golf Club. The event was well-attended, with over 50 local business owners and professionals in attendance.
The luncheon kicked off with networking, allowing attendees to mingle and connect with each other before the program began. The Chamber’s President, Fred Senra, welcomed everyone and introduced the keynote speaker for the day,Dr. Aida Levitan. He also introduced the luncheon member spotlight, Home Sweet Home Title, and they had the opportunity to tell guests about their business.
Dr. Levitan’s presentation was insightful and engaging, she shared her success story and offered tips on how to be successful. She emphasized the importance of having a strong image and using the right tools to grow. She shared her story from beginning to present. Aida Levitan was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. She explained that it was very difficult for her at first, going to school in a new country, not speaking the language, going to college as a young married woman, and how through all these hardships she persevered and got to where she is today.
She is a nationally recognized marketing communications professional and civic leader, in 1986 she co-founded Sanchez and Levitan which became one of the top ten U.S. Hispanic advertising agencies, and in 2006 she founded her own marketing firm, The Levitan Group, Inc. Today, Dr. Levitan is a director on the U.S Century Bank board, a position she has held since 2013.
The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their next membership luncheon on International Women’s Day, Wednesday, March 8 with guest speaker Dr. Marisol Capellan!
