On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, members of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and their guests gathered for the monthly membership luncheon. Hosted at the Miami Lakes Hotel, the luncheon had many attendees all eager to hear Former City of Miami Chief of Police Jorge Colina, a long-time Miami Lakes resident. Businesspeople from every corner of the community were in attendance, including doctors, attorneys, business owners, accountants, and more.

Chief Colina, who began his career with the Miami Police Department in 1990, brought a wealth of experience and accolades to the event. Throughout his impressive 28-year tenure, he earned more than 100 commendations and numerous awards, including repeated selections as Officer of the Month by the Miami-Dade County Chief’s Association. With his remarkable track record in law enforcement, Chief Colina captivated the audience as he took the stage to share his insights on leadership and staying motivated in business ventures.
