The Christmas Lunch with Veterans and Seniors was a complete success. celebrating December 23, 2022 from 12 to 3pm at the Roberto Alonso Community Center The Coordinator of the event Mr. Pedro Fiallo, director of Public Relations of the American Legion Post 144 Miami Lakes told us.
Mr. Fiallo expressed his gratitude to Commander Mr. Gary Cardenas for his help. To the Masters of Ceremonies Mrs. Norma Lorenzo and Mr. Tico Casamayor, to the Town of Miami Lakes and its Mayor, the Honorable Mr. Manny Cid who delivered certificates of appreciation to Mrs. Rosa Barroso, Mr. Tico Casamayor and Mr. Michael Salen.
Also the American Legion Post 144 veterans and the Elderly Affairs Committee who presented a well-deserved plaque to Commissioner Mrs. Marilyn Ruano. Thanks to our Mayor and Commissioner Mr. Raymond García.
Also thanks to Mr. Pedro Fiallo’s wife, Mrs. Zenida Fiallo for her great help that she always gives To the great Sponsors, Steps in the Right Direction for her donation of 260 lunches from Sergio’s To Go Miami Lakes, to Floridian Health Centers for bringing Luis Noa Violinist and saxophonist, Pili’s Bistro Café, coffee, tea, empanadas and cupcakes also a treadmill and a VX power machine. The American Legion raffled off 6 televisions and 30 $25.00 certificates from Sergio’s. A total of 10 televisions, Coffee Makers, Microwaves, Air Friers and Toasters were raffled off.
