The Town of Medley set a Guinness World Record for the most “Keys to the City” awards won by an individual at a single ceremony. The Key to the City & Municipal Flag Exchange Ceremony was between the Town of Medley & 11 Municipalities of Honduras C.A. This event was open to the public with a reception following. The event took place on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019, at the Medley Municipal Services Facility, Council Chambers, located at 7777 NW 72 Avenue, Medley, Fl. 33166 at 7:00 p.m. (est).
An official Guinness World Record Adjudicator was present to witness and certify the live attempt. The Town of Medley was founded in 1949 by Sylvester Medley and is in the northwestern part of Miami-Dade County. The Town believes cultural, economic and professional exchanges, such as these, will greatly enhance our economic developments. This key exchange ceremony will develop awareness of each other’s cultures which will be of mutual benefit to all of our communities.
