On Wednesday, October 12, the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce hosted their monthly membership luncheon at the Miami Lakes Hotel. The Miami Lakes Chamber does not disappoint, always hosting successful luncheons for all their members and other guests. The guest speaker this month was Jorge L. Arrizurieta, President of Americano Media. Guests networked in the lobby as they waited for the luncheon to commence. After some mingling, the doors were opened, and guests entered the ballroom and began to find their seats. After everyone was situated, President Fred Senra welcomed all and commenced the luncheon. The Miami Lakes Hotel served a full course lunch to all attendees.

As attendees enjoyed their lunch, they were introduced to the luncheon member spotlight, the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes. During their short presentation, they spoke about the new Optimist Park Bond Referendum. The purpose of this is to hopefully start the process of improving the conditions of Miami Lakes Optimist Park. Their goal is to improve community health and public green space by renovating recreational facilities at the park. They also heard from Jessica Joseph from Catholic Hospice. She spoke to chamber members and guests about Catholic Hospice’s upcoming toy drive. The toy drive runs from October to December 2, 2022, with several drop off locations including, Catholic Hospice, AC Graphics, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs School, Immaculate Conception Catholic School, and Our Lady of Lourdes Preschool and School. Jessica encouraged all in attendance to donate toys for this great cause.

After hearing the two short presentations, attendees were eager to hear from guest speaker, Jorge L. Arrizurieta. Arrizurieta is the President of new Spanish news outlet, Americano Media. They aspire to be number one among the Hispanic community and their mission is to seek the truth and report on the most relevant news worldwide. Jorge has extensive experience in business development and public affairs and during his presentation he spoke about his experience and how Americano began and where it is today. Guests listened attentively as Arrizurieta explained that Americano Media is committed to empowering the Hispanic American community through access to the most detailed information and the latest news.
