North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) recently celebrated the launch of their new Tele-ER service offering with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  The Tele-ER at NSMC is dedicated to serving all patients in the community in need of medical assistance.  This telehealth option is for patients who are unsure whether they need to seek emergency care in a hospital-based setting and allows anyone to speak directly to a physician and/or nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  All that is needed is a smartphone, tablet or computer, with a camera.  “It is important for our patients to know that we are here to care for their medical needs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” said Matthew K. Garner, CEO of North Shore Medical Center.
