The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce hosted its monthly luncheon on Wednesday, June 11 at the Miami Lakes Hotel, featuring special guest speaker Jesus Tundidor, Councilman for the City of Hialeah. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming as professionals from all over the area gathered in the hotel’s ballroom to connect, enjoy lunch, and hear Councilman Tundidor share his perspective on public service, leadership, and the future of Hialeah. Guests were treated to a plated lunch, refreshing beverages, and coffee—all generously provided by the Miami Lakes Hotel—and, of course, the always delicious Cuban pastries provided by Vicky Bakery.

The event brought together over seventy professionals from a wide range of industries like real estate, law, healthcare, finance, education, and more. It created the perfect environment for networking, exchanging ideas, and building new relationships. Chamber President Ray Palacios opened the luncheon by highlighting the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to support local businesses, expand membership, and build a stronger, more engaged business community throughout Miami Lakes. The energy in the room reflected a genuine sense of collaboration and shared purpose.

Councilman Jesus Tundidor gave an inspiring and thoughtful presentation about his personal and professional journey. As the youngest person ever elected to the Hialeah City Council, he spoke with passion about his deep roots in the community and his commitment to transparent, people-first leadership. With a background in law and government, Tundidor has been a strong advocate for public safety, infrastructure improvements, and youth programs. He also emphasized the importance of regional partnerships and how neighboring cities like Hialeah and Miami Lakes can work together to drive meaningful change across South Florida.
