The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce laid out the strategy for a digitally enhanced future during its June 23rd luncheon at Trattoria Pampered Chef. During their second in-person luncheon consisting of over fifty Chamber members and their guests, President Fred Senra and the Board of Directors thanked members for their enthusiasm and trust in the direction of the Chamber following his announcement of plans to digitally modernize the chamber during its first in-person meeting held last month after an almost year long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently elected, President Senra is focused on the “next step” of the Chamber starting with the formation of the Young Professionals Committee with support from Miami Lakes digital marketing agency, AC Graphics Digital. Following President Senra’s introduction and opening remarks, the meeting included a tech and digital goals update from Brandon Diaz, LSSGB, MSM of the Young Professionals Committee in conjunction with speakers Tico Casamayor and Matthew Casamayor from the Chamber’s agency of record, AC Graphics Digital, and both residents of Miami Lakes for over twenty years. The Young Professionals Committee used the time to restate its primary focus of bolstering the Chamber’s membership.

Specifically, the Committee hopes to achieve this by approaching businesses, new and old, that may have interest in becoming potential members. The Committee highlighted its dedication to creating a clear and accessible showcase of business benefits available to potential members through the Chamber. Accomplished primarily through social media outreach and consistent attendance events welcoming new Miami Lakes businesses, such as ribbon cuttings, the Committee is poised to expand the Chamber’s membership to the next generation of Miami Lakes business owners.

Shifting focus on improving and building on the Chamber’s current digital & online processes for its existing members, Tico and Matthew Casamayor of AC Graphics Digital discussed the modernization updates that have been made to date including: online credit card payments, consistent & professional branding, social media highlights of members, and email outreach. Using the vast digital space, AC Graphics Digital and the Young Professionals Committee hope to clearly display the benefits of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and how it will be used as a tool to better the local economy of Miami Lakes while bolstering member-owned businesses in the process. The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce is currently offering membership for the remainder of the year at half the cost of normal membership. Visit the Chamber’s website at miamilakeschamber.com or dial 305-556-2212 for more information on how to apply for membership.
